About 30 Hudson Valley businesses, including one that was open for over 100 years, announced plans to close during the past year.
Amazin' Melts, New Paltz: Despite winning an award for "best-grilled cheese" in the Hudson Valley the New Paltz eatery closed
Dressbarn: All of Dress Barns 650 stores across the country, including five from the Hudson Valley, were scheduled to close by Christmas.
Sloop Brewing, Elizaville: The Dutchess County craft beer makers closed its Elizaville barn in October to focus on their second expanded location in East Fishkill, Sloop Brewing Co. @ The Factory.

West Main Kitchen and Bar, Wappinger Falls: Many couldn't believe the award-winning restaurant announced plans to close in August.
Applebee's: The Applebee's at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets closed in early July.
9G Firehouse Cafe, Hyde Park: The owners announced in July the cafe closed due to "personal reasons"
The Sweet Onion Brewhouse, Florida: The restaurant closed in June, It was open for about five years and was known for its food, beer and cocktails which are all locally sourced from across the Hudson Valley. The eatery will reopen in the future in Chester.
Paul Smythe's Twisted Fried Chicken And Waffles: The eatery which was called "a hidden gem" closed its locations in New Windsor and Middletown.
Rita's, Poughkeepsie: The Rita's in Poughkeepsie on Taft Avenue unexpectedly closed this summer.
Michael's Candy Corner, Kingston: The beloved 100-year business closed in May.
South Hills Cinema 8, Poughkeepsie: The discount movie theater closed in February after around 35 years in business
Clearwater's Pizzeria, New Windsor: The pizzeria closed with no warning after over 20 years in business in January.
Smalley's Inn, Carmel: The landmark restaurant that might be haunted closed earlier this month.
Peters Market, Napanoch: The local, family-owned supermarket is set to close this coming Saturday.
Barneys New York Warehouse, Central Valley: Barneys announced in October they would be shutting down their remaining seven stores, including the Barneys New York Warehouse at the Woodbury Common.
Tarry Lodge, Port Chester: The restaurant owned by a celebrity chef was scheduled to close in November.
Bed, Bath and Beyond, West Nyack: The store in the Palisades Center announced in November it will close this coming June.
Lord & Taylor, West Nyack: Lord & Taylor will close its Palisades Center store at the end of this month.
Steiner Sports Memorabilia, New Rochelle: After almost four decades, the popular memorabilia business is closed and laid off all 60 employees.
Just-A-Buck, New Paltz: The business on Main Street held a celebration for its final day in March.
