Famous Actor Donates to Hudson Valley Father Injured At Work
A well-known actor is helping out a Hudson Valley father of three who suffered a devasting work injury.
In December 2018, Arlington High School graduate Rob Begley, who wrestles under the name Vik Dalishus, was involved in a freak accident during a match.
Begley suffered a severe spiral fracture of his Tibia and a fracture of his Fibula, according to a GoFundMe.
Begley ended up shattering his Tibia in over 15 pieces. Doctors told him he'd never run again, Begley said on Facebook.
He was told he would need many surgeries to fix his leg with a recovery time of six to eight months. However, he's suffered numerous setbacks in his recovery.
"I have had setback, after setback. A dangerous infection that threatened that I would lose my leg from the knee down," Begley wrote on Facebook.
In March, Begley learned he rebroke his Tibia and broke the metal plate that was inserted in his leg in December.
Friends started a GoFundMe to help him and his family pay their bills. Despite it all, Begley remains positive. He recently shared a video on Facebook of himself walking which turned into a jog.
Not only did David Arquette offer words of encouragement, but the Ready to Rumble star also donated to Begley's GoFundMe.
Arquette is in the Hudson Valley filming an upcoming movie. In 2000, Arquette became a professional wrestler and even won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
Arquette will return to the ring on Sept. 14 in Fishkill wrestling for Northeast Wrestling at the Fishkill Rec Center on Route 52.
