A man who allegedly robbed a bank in Dutchess County last week was found and arrested.

On Thursday around 9:30 a.m., Town of Poughkeepsie police responded to the TD Bank on South Road in Poughkeepsie for a reported bank robbery.

Police were told a man passed a note to a teller which demanded money and said he had a gun. No weapon was displayed, police say.

The man fled the bank on foot and entered into a dark-colored Acura.

On Friday, the suspect's vehicle was spotted on Route 9 in the Town of Poughkeepsie. Jake R. Oliva, 27, of Poughkeepsie was arrested without incident, police say.

Oliva was charged with robbery, a felony. He was arraigned in Town of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department was assisted by New York State Police, Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, Ulster County Sheriff's Office and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center.
