Hudson Valley Brothers Arrested for Black Friday Rape, Robbery
Teen brother's from the Hudson Valley were arrested following investigations into robberies and the sexual assault of a young girl.
Since the beginning of November, there have been six armed robberies reported in the upper north area of the City of Poughkeepsie. According to police, all six involved two teen boys as the suspects.
On Nov. 23, a 13-year-old girl reported that three men, one with a gun, sexually assaulted her.
On Thursday, after an investigation conducted by the City of Poughkeepsie Detective Bureau and the City of Poughkeepsie Neighborhood Recovery Unit, two brothers from the City of Poughkeepsie, one 17 and the other 15, were arrested and each charged with one count of robbery
The 15-year-old was also charged with one count of rape.
The 17-year-old was arraigned and sent to the Dutchess County Jail. The 15-year-old was arraigned and remanded into a secure juvenile detention facility.
A handgun was also recovered during the course of the investigation, police say.
