Attempted Murder Suspects Spotted In Hudson Valley, Finally Arrested
The Tennessee couple that fled to the Hudson Valley after allegations of attempted murder and kidnapping were arrested after over two months on the run.
On June 24, Jarret Cole Heitmann and Makayla Danielle Stilwell were spotted in Pine Bush and may have been in the Bloomingburg area. They were later seen just outside Orange County at the Walmart in Matamoras, P.A.
Both were part of Tennessee’s Top 10 Most Wanted list. They were being sought for allegedly kidnapping a woman and shooting a 34-year-old man in the chest in Tennessee.
On Thursday, Heitmann was arrested by officers with the New Orleans Police Department after an alleged shoplifting incident.
A few days later, authorities received information that Stilwell was spotted at a park in the New Orleans area. She was located and arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force Sunday evening.
Both are being held in the Orleans Parish Jail.
