‘Armed and Dangerous’ Attempted Murder Suspect On the Run in Hudson Valley

A Hudson Valley man wanted for attempted murder is considered “armed and dangerous,” and is still on the run.
Paul Maldonado, AKA “Pablo”, 38, of Leeds is wanted by New York State Police and the Catskill Police Department for attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
On Monday August 28, Maldonado purposely shot at a person he knew outside a bar in the Village of Catskill, police say.
Maldonado was last seen driving a white 2015 Lincoln MKZ with New York plates reading “HEV3606.”
The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, Catskill police warned on Facebook. He has ties to the New York City area.

Update: Maldonado's body was found in a wooded area off Plank Road in Shandaken, WNYT reports. The death appears to be a suicide, police say.
