Up To 5 Inches of Snow Predicted for Parts of Hudson Valley

Following recording breaking warmth, a harsh reality is setting in, winter isn't over with parts of the Hudson Valley predicted to receive up to 5 inches of snow today.

According to Hudson Valley Weather, sleet and snow should hit the local area Thursday morning.

Light sleet or a light drizzle is expected to start falling from 7 a.m. until noon. Steady sleet and wet snow develops from west to east in the Hudson Valley between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Snow and wet sleet should taper off from west to east around from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Hudson Valley Weather is predicting most of Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, and Putnam counties will see a coating to one inch of sleet and wet snow. The upper parts of Ulster and Dutchess counties could see one to three inches of snow and sleet.

The Catskills is forecast to receive two to five inches of snow. The extreme lower Hudson Valley, parts of Rockland and Westchester counties, are in danger of ice patches developing due to sleet and rain.
