A local woman is accused of stealing a car and almost hitting a police car while driving impaired by drugs.

Monticello police arrested 33-year-old Lisa Marie Lee of Kiamesha Lake for grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, felonies, driving while ability impaired by the use of drugs, reckless endangerment, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation and reckless driving, all misdemeanors.

On Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., two Monticello officers, in a marked patrol vehicle, were almost hit a 1997 BMW after the car allegedly made an improper U-Turn on Forestburg road in the Village of Monticello.

The BMW, driven by Lee, was pulled over by the officers. An investigation determined that the car was recently reported stolen in front of a Broadway Business.

The owner of the reported stolen car admitting to leaving the keys in the BMW, police say.

Lee was arrested and later allegedly found to be in possession of 14 Suboxone sublingual films and operating with a suspended State of Pennsylvania driver license.

Lee was arraigned in Village of Monticello Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $ 5,000 bail pending further court action.
