HBO Filming in Hudson Valley Will Close Route 209
HBO filming in the area is going to shut down a local road all day on Monday, likely leading to traffic delays.
On Monday, September 16, HBO filming in Ulster County will close Route 209 between Route 28 and Sawkill Road from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m., according to the Town of Ulster Town Clerk.
The road may be opened earlier than planned if filming is completed.
There is a detour plan that takes traffic onto Sawkill Road, officials say. HBO is working with NYS Dept of Transportation for equipment and signage, according to the Town of Ulster Town Clerk.
Officials didn't release what HBO is filming in the area next week, but it's believed to be I Know This Much is True starring Mark Ruffalo, which has filmed all over the area recently. It also caused some road closures and traffic delays while filming in Ulster County.
Ruffalo, who lives in the Hudson Valley, is playing twin brothers and serving as executive producer in the limited series based on the best selling novel by Wally Lamb. Oscar-winner Melissa Leo and Rosie O'Donnell, Archie Panjabi, Imogen Poots and Juliette Lewis also star in the miniseries.
