Dutchess County Police Investigate Number of Car Thefts
Police in Dutchess County continue to warn the public following more reports of car thefts. All of the thefts are from vehicles with an avoidable mistake.
East Fishkill police are investigating a number of thefts from unlocked cars in the Hillside Lake neighborhood.
The thefts took place sometime during the overnight hours from Sunday evening into Monday morning, police say.
“Residents are encouraged to ALWAYS lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight or taken in at night. Keep outside lights on to lessen your odds of being a victim,” East Fishkill police wrote on their Facebook page.
