Donald Trump Protest, Bridge Jumpers Top Week In Hudson Valley News
A protest regarding President Trump and two local bridge jumpers topped this week in Hudson Valley news.
Hundreds marched in protest of President Trump’s immigration executive order. It took place Wednesday night in the city of Poughkeepsie. So many people came out to protest, that police had to shut down parts of Civic Center Plaza and Mansion Street.

Official’s claims internal e-mails shows Time Warner knowingly delivered internet speeds that were sometimes 80 percent slower than promised in order to boost profits.
A Sullivan County man is facing life in prison for sexually assaulting a child over a three year period. Robert Johnson was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. The Sullivan County district attorney’s office recommended a maximum sentence because of the lifetime of suffering the 52-year-old caused.
A young man was killed in Ulster County after the car he was traveling in crashed into a home. 22-year-old Jacob Sweeny was a passenger in a car that left road in Saugerties, hit a pole, and then a house Tuesday around 3:30 a.m . The driver was injured.
An our top story, two people jumped from two different bridges, just hours apart. Sunday night, someone jumped from the Mid-Hudson Bridge in Poughkeepsie. A body was never found. Around the same time, a 48-year-old Beacon woman jumped from the Newburgh-Beacon bridge. Her body was found after a short search near Beacon.
