Were Police Caught Sleeping on The Job in the Hudson Valley?
A viral social media post alleges that two New York State Troopers were sleeping in their cruiser during an active crime scene in the Hudson Valley.
Robert Hasbrouck posted photos and a video to Facebook that shows two on-duty New York State Troopers with their heads slumped, potentially sleeping, in their cruiser in Sullivan County.
In his Facebook post, Hasbrouck wrote that that the troopers were “sleeping on the job,” Wednesday while “blocking the road off from armed suspects with a bomb,” in Bloomingburg.
In a now viral video, with not-safe-for-work language, Hasbrouck circled and approached the police car, seemingly without the officer’s knowledge.
Multiple times during the video, Hasbrouck says the officers are “sleeping.”
Hudson Valley Post reached out to State Police for comment. Phone calls weren’t returned. We will update this story if we received word from State Police.
