Shots Fired Near Local Family Drug Store
Police are searching for answers and hoping for help after shots were fired near a local drug store.
Monticello police are currently investigating a shots fired incident that occurred on Broadway in the Village of Monticello.
On Saturday around 1 p.m., Monticello police received a 911 report of two men in a physical altercation on a sidewalk outside the Family Drug Store.
During the altercation, the men broke a window to the drug store and one man displayed and fired from a handgun, police say.
Both fled prior to officers arriving on scene. Officers recovered spent bullet casings from the sidewalk. No injuries were reported.
