‘Sexually Violent’ Sex Offender Moves Near Hudson Valley High School

Officials are warning the public that a “sexually violent” sex offender who had sexual contact with a four-year-old moved to a populated area in the Hudson Valley.

Level-2 sex offender Erik Midtskogen is now living at an apartment on Maple Street in Poughkeepsie.

The 51-year-old is 0.6 miles from Poughkeepsie High School and one mile from The Chance, according to Google Maps. His home is also near a number of local businesses in Dutchess County.

On the New York State Sex Offenders Database, Midtskogen is designated as being a “Sexually Violent Offender.”

In 2008, he was sentenced to five years in prison for having two or more acts of sexual contact with a four-year-old girl.
