Massive Indoor Waterpark Opening Soon in the Hudson Valley
The biggest indoor waterpark in New York is opening very soon in the Hudson Valley.
The Kartrite Resort and Indoor Waterpark in Monticello on the campus of Resorts World Catskills will feature many thrilling water attractions, including waterslides, a FlowRider surf simulator, a lazy river, a kid’s activity pool and a multi-level play structure with slides, according to a press release.
The resort and waterpark will feature a two-acre four-season waterpark and 324 hotel rooms. Once complete, the waterpark will be the biggest indoor waterpark in New York, officials say.
According to the company's website, the state of the art indoor waterpark will deliver "an unbelievable family adventure for all ages."
A press release sent to Hudson Valley Post in January stated the Kartrite Resort and Indoor Waterpark was set to open in March 2019. It appears the opening date has been slightly delayed because the companies website now says "Opening April 2019!" An email about the opening date wasn't returned as of this writing.
The waterpark and resort are expected to create 500 permanent jobs and up to 250 construction jobs.
