Gigantic Indoor Waterpark Coming To Hudson Valley
The biggest indoor waterpark in New York is opening in the Hudson Valley.
In March, the Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark is scheduled to open in Monticello on the campus of Resorts World Catskills.
According to the company's website, the state of the art indoor waterpark will deliver "an unbelievable family adventure for all ages."
Ken Ellis and Arthur Berry III, the co-owners of one of the top adventure resorts in America, Camelback Resort, are behind the Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark.
“We’re building upon the family-focused thrills and amenities that have made Camelback Resort & Aquatopia a premier destination in the Pocono Mountains,” Berry said in press release. “The Kartrite’s location at the Resorts World Catskills property provides a unique opportunity for us to deliver a whole new adventure for guests as part of a true global destination.”
The resort and waterpark will feature a two-acre four-season waterpark and 324 hotel rooms. Once complete, the waterpark will be the biggest indoor waterpark in New York, officials say.
The opening of The Kartrite is expected to create 600 permanent jobs.
