Police are hoping for help as they look for the person responsible for attempting to rob a local pharmacy.

According to City of Middletown police, on Monday around 6:20 p.m, the AccuCare pharmacy on James P. Kelly Way robbed.

A white man entered the AccuCare pharmacy, stated that he had a gun and demanded a bottle of OxyContin. The man fled the scene without anything, police say.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set 5’10” man. His face was partially concealed with a black ski mask, but the portion of his face visible appeared to be clean shaven. He was seen a wearing a black jacket and black or dark colored pants.

The man fled on foot towards the area behind the Bada-Bing Pizzeria, located at 28 County Route 78.
