Woman Wins $1 Million at Hudson Valley Casino

One lucky woman won $1 million Saturday night at Resorts World Catskills.

On Saturday, Marlyn Landicho of Astoria won the $1 million grand prize during the Imagine a Million promotion at Resorts World Catskills.

“Congratulations to Marlyn on winning the grand prize of $1 million in the thrilling conclusion to our wildly successful ‘Imagine a Million’ promotion,” Vice President of Marketing of Resorts World Catskills Jennifer Anthony said in a press release. “We’re excited to have been able to bring these truly unique, one-of-a-kind opportunities to win luxurious experiences and prizes as part of our ‘Imagine a Million’ promotion to our guests this summer.”

Four other finalists took home consolation prizes:

• Brian Pekera of Highland Mills - $10,000 in cash
• Dimitrija Noceski of New Jersey- $10,000 in free play
• Michael Lessing of Wurtsboro - $5,000 in cash
• William Brenner of Newburgh - $5,000 in free play

Throughout the course of its first major multi-month promotion, Resorts World Catskills has given away over $2.7 million in prizes, officials say.

Since opening in May, Resorts World Catskills has given away more than $20 million in prizes, according to a press release.
