Hudson Valley Man Admits to Taconic Road Rage Killing

A Hudson Valley man confessed he fatally stabbed a 28-year-old after the pair got into a disagreement on the side of the Taconic.

On Monday, 22-year-old Christian Walczyk of Lagrangeville pleaded guilty to manslaughter, in the stabbing death of Daniel Siino during a road rage incident in May 2017.

On May 27, 2017, 28-year-old Siino of Harstdale and his wife were driving south on the Taconic when Walczyk pulled in front and allegedly brake checked the couple and later refused to let them pass.

Siino eventually pulled over just before the Briarcliff Manor exit. Walczyk also pulled over and approached Siino as both men got out of their cars.

Walczyk is accused of approaching Siino while holding a fake police badge and hiding a folding knife.

As the two stood face to face, Walczyk stabbed Siino twice in the chest. Siino died on the way to the hospital.

During the attack, Walczyk sliced his one finger. He allegedly went to a hospital and claimed he was the victim of a stabbing.

Walczyk was arrested after a knife was found at the scene of the stabbing.

The 22-year-old faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when sentenced Nov. 14, 2018.
