Second Person Accuses Dutchess County Lawyer of Sexual Touching
Another person came forward after a Dutchess County lawyer was accused of engaging in a continual inappropriate sexual conduct with a client. Police believe more victims are possible.
On Friday, 63-year-old Wayne Thatcher of Poughkeepsie was charged with an additional count of forcible touching after a second person came forward with information about another incident, police say.
Thatcher was released after posting bail.
In May, Thatcher was charged with two-counts of forcible touching, a misdemeanor. One count is from the Town of Poughkeepsie the other the City of Poughkeepsie, police say.
Following an investigation by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau, Thatcher was accused of engaging in a continual course of inappropriate sexual conduct with a client.
Thatcher is an attorney in the Hudson Valley.
