Police: Unlicensed Hudson Valley Man Found Driving in Stolen Car

A Kingston man is accused of driving without a license in a car he stole from Ulster County.

On Thursday around 9:30 p.m., the Ulster Police Department stopped a car on Route 32 in the Town of Ulster that appeared to be the car that was recently stolen in Kingston. The car was reported stolen to the Kingston Police Department.

As a result, the driver, 29-year-old Nathaniel M. Blauvelt of Kingston, was found to be possession of the stolen car, police say.

Blauvelt was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, operation of motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device and aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors.

Blauvelt was processed and turned over to Kingston Police Department where he was arraigned in City of Kingston Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail.
