Police: Hudson Valley Sex Offender Didn’t Report Many Moves
A local sex offender is accused of breaking the law by secretly moving several times around the Hudson Valley.
On Tuesday around 4 p.m., the Kingston Police Department Detective Division arrested 32-year-old Anthony J. Bell of Kingston for violating a sex offender registry requirement, police say.
While conducting a check of registered sex offender’s addresses, officials discovered that Bell wasn’t living on Fair Street in Kingston, as he provided, police say.
An investigation found that Bell was allegedly living at a home in VanBuren Street in Kingston, while he was listed on the sex offender's database at another address.
Bell is accused of failing to tell police of several moves, which he is required to do by law.
He is scheduled to reappear in Kingston City Court at a later date.
