A Hudson Valley man is accused of trying to have sex with an 11-year-old girl.

On Friday, New York State Police arrested 25-year-old Jacob Styles of Kingston after investigators based out of the Latham and Troop G's Computer Crimes Unit determined Styles made arrangments to meet up with an underage girl, police say.

After a joint investigation between the FBI, Colonie Police and the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Styles was taken into custody after he allegedly traveled to the Town of Colonie to meet up with an 11-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity.

Styles was charged with multiple felonies, including attempted rape and attempted criminal sex act. Styles was arraigned in the Town of Colonie Court and sent to the Albany County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or bond.
