Local police are notifying the public of a Hudson Valley sex offender’s recent move.

According to Kingston Police, William M. Knox moved from Ulster Avenue in Kingston to Henry Street in Kingston.

According to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Sex Offenders database, Knox, 47, is labeled a “Sexually Violent Offender.”

In Nov 2004, Knox was arrested by the California Department of Justice Sex Offender Registry. He was convicted in March 2005, for having sex and deviate sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl.

The 15-year-old victim was a stranger to Knox, officials say. He was sentenced to three years in prison.

Knox is listed as a 5’5” 170 pound black man with brown eyes. He has tattoos on his right forearm, left arm, left breast, left hand and neck.

Last month, police notified the public of another sex offender’s move.
