Hudson Valley Police Officer Dies
Parts of the Hudson Valley are mourning the loss of a former officer.
On Facebook, Ulster County Sheriff Paul J. Van Blarcum announced the "untimely passing," of Stephan Weishaupt, a former Ulster County Deputy Sheriff.
Weishaupt was with the Sheriff's Office from 1977 through 1985 and was a patrol lieutenant when he resigned to pursue a career with the FBI.
A wake for Weishaupt is scheduled for Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Leahy's. His funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Kingston.
According to Kingston Mayor Steven Noble, on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. there will be funeral parking only on both sides of Wall Street between Main Street and Pearl Street.
Our thoughts are with Weishaupt’s family and friends.
