Hudson Valley Man Facing Felony Charges For Driving ATV Drunk

Police say a Hudson Valley man driving around town on an ATV was four times over the legal limit of intoxication.

On Tuesday around 1:30 p.m., Saugerties police arrested 47-year-old Keir Cashen of Saugerties for aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, felonies, unregistered motor vehicle and uninsured motor vehicle.

Cashen was stopped by police for operating an ATV on Route 212 in the Town of Saugerties. While speaking with Cashen, police alleged that he was drunk.

Later, a test showed his blood-alcohol level was .28%, four times over the legal limit of intoxication, police say.

Cashen was released to a third party pending a future court date.
