
Dutchess Woman Accused of Stabbing Man on Dutchess Turnpike
A Poughkeepsie woman is accused of stabbing a man while the two were on the Dutchess Turnpike.
On Sunday, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department arrested 34-year-old Jolene R. Fassino of Poughkeepsie for assault, a felony.
Police responded to a reported dispute on the Dutchess Turnpike in the Town of Poughkeepsie. While walking on the Dutchess Turnpike, Fassino stabbed a man she knew in the leg with a pocket knife she had in her possession, police say.
A driver was flagged down and called 911. The man was taken to Vassar Brothers Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police say.
Fassino was remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. She is due back in Town of Poughkeepsie Court on June 26.
