Dutchess County Man Accused of March Robbery
A Dutchess County man is behind bars for allegedly robbing a local business.
On March 3 around 9:30 a.m., a man wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, a mask, and armed with a handgun, entered a Town of Poughkeepsie business and allegedly stole an undetermined amount of money. The man then fled the scene.
On Thursday, a Town of Poughkeepsie Police Detective spotted a man walking near the unnamed business that matched the description of the suspect.
After being interviewed by police, the man, later identified as 27-year-old Bryan J. Hicks of Poughkeepsie, was charged with second-degree robbery, a felony.
The gun used during the alleged crime was recovered by authorities.
Hicks was remanded to Dutchess County Jail lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
