
ATV Driver Seriously Injured in Hudson Valley Crash
Three people were sent to hospitals when an ATV and car collided in the Hudson Valley. One suffered serious head injuries.
On Saturday around 7:30 p.m., Ramapo police responded to a serious injury accident on Route 17 in Sloatsburg, near the Sunnyside Restaurant.
An ATV and a 2016 Subaru both traveling northbound in the left lane collided, police say. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
The driver of the ATV, a 51-year-old man from Sloatsburg, sustained serious head injuries. He was treated at the scene by Rockland Paramedics. An off-duty doctor on his way to Tuxedo also stopped and rendered aid to the 51-year-old. He was soon airlifted to Westchester Medical Center. His condition hasn't been released.
The driver of the Subaru, a 30-year-old man from Monroe, and his 29-year-old passenger were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. Police didn't release their conditions or injuries.
As of this writing, no tickets have been issued, but the crash remains under investigation.
