Police: Teen Threatened Deli Workers With Steak Knife
A teen is accused of threatening workers with a steak knife in an apparent admit to rob merchandise at a local deli.
On Monday just before 9 p.m., Town of Wallkill Police arrested a 17-year-old male from Wallkill.
A police investigation revealed that on Jan. 12 around 8:30, the 17-year-old entered the Silverlake Deli, located on Scotchtown Road in the Town of Wallkill armed with a steak knife. The 17-year-old is accused of using the knife to threaten deli staff.
The teen was charged with first-degree attempted robbery and second-degree menacing,
He was arraigned in Town of Wallkill Court and was remanded to Orange County Jail on $25,000 cash $75,000 bond. He’s due back in Town of Wallkill Court on Jan. 20.
