A Hudson Valley man is accused of sexually touching a child in the local area. On Friday, the Troop F Child Abuse Unit in Sullivan County announced the arrest of Edward Dunn, 45, from Middletown.

A joint investigation with Sullivan County Child Protective Services revealed Dunn engaged in sexual contact with a child less than 11 years old, police say. Information about the investigation that led to the allegation wasn't released by State Police.

Dunn was charged with sexual abuse, a felony and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. Dunn was arraigned in town of Thompson Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bail.
