Police: Dutchess County Woman Tried To Use Car As Weapon
A Dutchess County woman is accused of trying to use her car as a weapon.
On Sunday, Dutchess County 911 sent State Police from Poughkeepsie to a domestic dispute on Camby Road in the Town of Washington.
An investigation revealed that 38-year-old Elizabeth Slaughter from the Town of Washington tried to use her car as a weapon during the argument, police say. Slaughter was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital for evaluation.
After being released from Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, Slaughter was charged with reckless endangerment, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. She was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bail bond.
