NYPD Cop From Hudson Valley Exposed Self to 2 Young Girls, Police Say
An NYPD officer who lives in the Hudson Valley is under arrest for allegedly exposing himself to girls in the Bronx. He was previously accused of a similar act in the Hudson Valley.
On Tuesday, 43-year-old Adam Fridson of Brewster was arrested on charges of public lewdness and acting in a manner injurious to a child. Fridson, an NYPD officer, previously lived in Westchester.
Fridson is accused of exposing himself to two young sisters in the Bronx last Wednesday.
A man wearing a ‘Nightmare before Christmas’ t-shirt approached the girls, ages 12 and 7, and exposed himself when he asked the girls for directions to McDonald’s.
“He got out of car unzipped his fly, took out his penis and approached the two young girls,” Bronx Assistant District Attorney Allison Riesel said according to the New York Daily News.
The girls told the mother about the event and the mother called police. After police posted surveillance video, an off-duty officer identified Fridson.
Fridson was accused of exposing himself to another girl in Westchester seven years ago.
According to the Daily News, while working as a security guard in Westchester, Fridson was accused of showing a 9-year-old girl his genitals. The girl’s mother refused to press charges. Fridson faced departmental charges, but was cleared after he said a zipper on his pants broke, causing his genitals to slip out.
Fridson joined the NYDP in 2005. After charges were filed on Tuesday he was stripped of his badge and placed on modified assignment.
