Kingston Man Admits Sexually Abusing Child
Ulster County Special Victims Bureau Chief Katherine Van Loan announced that 38-year-old David Vega-Soto of Kingston pleaded guilty to sexual abuse in the first degree in Ulster County Court on Oct. 12.
Vega-Soto, formerly of Henry Street in Kingston, in his guilty plea to the Class D violent felony. admitted that he subjected another person to sexual contact on June 25. The victim was under the age of 11.
Vega-Soto was arrested on June 30 following an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center. At the time of his arrest, he was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of sex abuse and criminal sex act against a 12-year-old girl and a 6-year-old girl.
