Heads Up Hudson Valley! World War II Plans Will Fly Over This Weekend

If you're out and about in the Hudson Valley this weekend make sure to look up.

It looks like there will be World War II era planes flying by. According to the Tunison Foundation on Facebook they will be conducting formation training.

In a PSA shared on their social media pages they write:

Over the next few days WWII era warbirds will be flying over the Hudson Valley during formation training. We wanted to make the public aware that there is no threat and we are not under attack!

The Tunison Foundation shares that there is no public access to the training event, that will be taking place at the Hudson Valley Regional Airport in Wappingers Falls.

However there will be a fun family event later this weekend.

Low Flying Planes Cause Concern Across the Hudson Valley

Why would an organization need to make a PSA like the one posted to their social media accounts?

Well, last year there was a bit of a stir on social media as the warbirds flew over. The Tunison Foundation explained "Yes...we had these complaints last year. So look up to the sky if you hear those beautiful radial engines purring!"

The low flying planes spooked Hudson Valley residents as there was no warning before hand.

Take a look at what their formation looked like last year that had the community wondering what in the world was going on:

I guess we understand why a PSA is necessary.
