Annual Upstate New York Event Taking a Break in 2024
This time of year we are putting all types of events on our calendars. We are busy filling in all the fun for our Summer and often circling dates for Fall fun. Unfortunately, as many folks had suspected one Hudson Valley event will not return in 2024.
The Official announcement came down today that the Hudsn Valley Rodeo is going to skip 2024 and get right to planning 2025. As you might imagine many people were disappointed with the news.
Hudson Valley Rodeo in Amenia, New York
The Hudson Valley Rodeo kicked off 3 years ago with an ambitious plan to bring both a rodeo day and a nighttime concert to Ameina, New York as a fundraiser for the community. Held in September the Hudson Valley Rodeo was an instant hit with people of all ages.
Hudson Valley Rodeo 2024 has been Canceled
Held at Silo Ridge in Amenia, this annual event was very popular. The first year they hosted Chris Janson and Ian Flanigan for the concert that accompanied the Rodeo. The next year was Brett Young and last year's concert was Walker Hayes and Hudson Valley favorite Jordan Stoner.
The purpose of the event was to hold a day of family fun and raise funds to give back to the community. That will also be the plan going forward as the Rodeo plans for 2025. Unfortunately for those hoping to attend in 2024, they will have to wait until next year. Some people on social media were understanding but some were also disappointed.
The Hudson Valley Rodeo will take a break for 2024 and resume in 2025 with a potential new and improved site plan and strategy to make the event the most successful and impactful. Our goal is to generate the most funds to give back to our amazing community! (Hudson Valley Rodeo via Facebook)
