A Hudson Valley Haunted Attraction Could Be Named Best in The Nation

Before you know it spooky season will be here. It feels like we've been gearing up for it all summer long.

The Hudson Valley is home to a handful of incredible haunted attractions to choose from when spooky season rolls around.

However, there is one that sticks out above the bunch. The Headless Horseman Hayride and Haunted Houses in Ulster Park. It has held many titles, all of which dub it as one of the best haunted attractions in the US.

The Headless Horseman is once again up for another top title: 10Best Haunted Attraction. USA Today sends out their experts to research the best of the best and as of right now, The Headless Horseman is one of the top 20 attractions.

Now, it's up to us to take the Headless Horseman to #1. Currently, they're at the #8 spot. Voting is open until September 21st.

Top Fall Attractions in The Hudson Valley

The experts at USA Today must love the Hudson Valley, especially during the fall.

Their 10Best list are currently fall focused and there are several location across the region that are up for different 10Best list titles.

Currently, Kelder's Farm in Kerhonkson is up for Best Pumpkin Patch and Minard Family Farm in Clintondale is up for Best Apple Orchard.

Voting is open until September 5th for Best Apple Orchard and Best Pumpkin Patch.

Where is The Best Place to Visit in the Hudson Valley During The Fall?

Going even further, USA Today is looking to narrow down the best places to visit in the U.S. during the fall months.

Of course the Hudson Valley made the list.

Sleepy Hollow is up for 10Best Fall Destinations along with Saratoga County and Rochester, New York.

USA Today says about Sleepy Hollow:

 Not only is this New York village legendary for its place in Washington Irving's eponymous tale, it's also a hub for fall festivities.

Adding "The blazing leaves are best seen around the Lyndhurst Mansion and Philipsburg Manor."
