This New York Ballpark Named #1 For Stadium Food, Again
Citi Field, home to the New York Mets, is at the top of the list once again....at the top of the stadium food list that is. Receiving a number one ranking across ALL sports stadiums nationwide, this an honor from Yelp, and not the first for the ballpark in Queens.

Number One For Food, Yet Again
The 2026 honor from Yelp comes after the site 'analyzed stadiums and arenas across all professional sports leagues in the United States' and then recently released their list of 50 best venues for food based on Yelp reviews.
It seems that the (off the field) team at Citi Field has done their due diligence when it comes to the variety of culinary offerings at the ballpark, and especially on the celebrity chef front. Citi Field offers cuisines from the likes of Adam Richman, Kwame Onwuachi, and as of this year, New York Mets legendary former centerfielder, Mookie Wilson.
Did you know they even have a team of sushi chefs ON SITE, rolling fresh sushi for guests?

In addition to this year's Yelp honor Citi Field has championed the USA Today titles of Best Stadium Food in 2023, along with Best Baseball Stadium Food in 2024, 2025, and this year as well.

One Of The 'Premier Culinary Destinations in Sports'
Several outlets including QNS, Mets Insider and delish have reported on the latest food-ranking championship at Citi Field, sharing the official statement from Mets Vice President of Ballpark Experience James Benesh:
Being named Yelp’s top stadium is a tremendous honor and a testament to Citi Field’s commitment to being one of the premier culinary destinations in sports, Our food and beverage program is designed to deliver a distinctive experience that goes well beyond traditional ballpark fare, with something for every fan to enjoy. By pairing beloved gameday staples with inventive new offerings, we want every trip around the concourse to be part of what makes Citi Field special and give fans something new to discover each time they visit.
For comparison, the world's most famous arena, Madison Square Garden ranked #15, and was highlighted for being a 'serious food destination' - likely because of year round programming that draws constant crowds.

Citi Field Food Offerings
In total, Citi Field has 27 unique vendor partnerships, and this year alone added 26 new menu items. Yelp recommendations cite The Queensboro’s Kimchi Reuben as a must-try, and obviously the 9-9-9 Challenge at Willets Point Brewery which includes nine Mini Nathan's hot dogs along with nine 4-ounce pours across all nine innings of the game.
Of course, there's also options like Shake Shack, Pig Beach BBQ, Hildebrandt’s Citi Field-exclusive Blue and Orange Skies ice cream and Pat LaFrieda's Chop House (pictured below).

Citi Field Senior Executive Chef Jason Eksterowicz, who oversees all culinary operations at the ballpark, also explained how they'll 'hawk' menu items to a specific area of seats in the stadium, aka deliver it like you see, or hear, at a typical ballpark: 'beer here' or 'peanuts and popcorn.' The only difference being, this isn't your typical ballpark hot dog or pretzel, these are those signature items and it is coordinated in more of a pop-up you don't know what they'll be bringing out today kind of setup.
