Hudson Valley Teen Accused Of Stabbing 3, Seriously Injuring 2
A teen from the Hudson Valley is accused of stabbing three people, leaving two seriously injured.
It was initially believed that the three were stabbed during an altercation Tuesday evening at Woodstock Park in the Town of Wallkill. However, as Town of Wallkill police investigated further, it was determined that the event happened on Oregon Trail in the Town of Shawangunk, police say.
State Police continued with the investigation after the Town of Wallkill Police Department determined the incident occurred outside of their jurisdiction. Eric Martine, 19, of the hamlet of Wallkill is accused of stabbing all three during a physical altercation.
Martine was charged with two counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies.
On Tuesday just before 9:15 p.m., Town of Wallkill police responded to the Orange Regional Medical Center for a report of an assault.
Upon arrival, the officer discovered three victims who were all being treated for stab wounds.
Justin Michel, 26, from the Town of Wallkill and 18-year-old Cameron Leath from Pine Bush were listed in critical condition. Michel was stabbed in his torso. Leath in his torso, arm and leg.
Dyllan Valer-Chabut, 19, of Wawayanda was treated and released for stab wounds to his leg and arm
State Police tells Hudson Valley Post that one of the three person is still in hospital.
Martine was arraigned in the Town of Shawangunk Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail pending a future court appearance.
