Update: This story has been updated as State Police charged a woman with hitting a hearing impaired child with a shopping cart at a Hudson Valley Walmart. 

Saturday afternoon New York State Police announced they charged 23-year-old Erica A. Walker of Queens with attempted assault, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Walker intentionally rammed a 10-year-old child with a shopping cart at the Walmart located at 3131 East Main Street in Cortlandt Manor, police say.

Walker was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court. She was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or bond. She is scheduled to return to the Town of Cortlandt Court on March 6.

Police are hoping the public can help identify a woman who was seen deliberately hitting a hearing impaired child with a shopping cart at a lower Hudson Valley Walmart.

On Saturday around 6:30 p.m., a female purposely rammed a hearing impaired 10-year-old with a shopping cart at the Walmart located on 3131 East Main Street in Cortlandt Manor.

The woman was seen at Walmart wearing a black bubble jacket with a brown colored scarf and black jeans.

Police are hoping someone can help identify the woman by looking at the photos, above. The unknown woman is wanted for questioning, police say.
