Head of Local Cocaine Trafficking Conspiracy Sentenced

The head of a Hudson Valley cocaine dealing conspiracy is heading to prison.

On Monday in Sullivan County Court, 33-year-old Adrian Phillip of South Fallsburg was sentenced to 12 years in state prison for criminal possession of a controlled substance and five to 10 years in prison for conspiracy, with the sentences to run concurrently.

According to the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office, Phillip was leader of a large cocaine distribution conspiracy in Sullivan County. When he was arrested in March of 2016, he was found with 300 grams of cocaine destined to be sold in the county.

Phillip pleaded guilty in April. He was arrested after a lengthy investigation led by the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), with assistance from the Monticello Police, the Fallsburg Police, the Liberty Police, the Sullivan County Sheriff, the New York State Police BCI, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of N.Y. and the Sullivan County District Attorney's Office.
