GoFundMe For Woman Killed in Crash

A GoFundMe was created to help the Hudson Valley family who lost their child when an unlicensed driver slammed into a dump truck.

Saturday night, a 2012 Jeep Wrangler slammed into a parked dump truck in Rockland County. A passenger in the Jeep, 21-year-old Kaylyn Amy Wynne from Monroe, was thrown from the car and pronounced dead on the scene.

According to police, the driver of the Jeep was an unnamed 22-year-old who was driving with a suspended license. He suffered minor injuries.

Kaylyn worked at a Monroe Dunkin Donuts for the past four years. She was a student at Finger Lakes School of Massage in Mount Kisco, and a member of the Rockland Rock Crawlers Jeep Club, according to her obituary.

"Kaylyn A. Wynne was one of the most beautiful people we've had the pleasure of meeting; inside and out," Henry Mendez wrote in a GoFundMe he created to help Wynne's family with the funeral costs. "She was full of life, laughter, and love at all of our events and off road trips we hosted and attended. She was the spark that ignited the fuel in our little jeep family and her companionship can never be replaced."

A wake will be held this Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home on Maple Avenue in Monore Monroe, NY 10950. A Chapel Service will begin at 8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Friday Evening.
