2 Jailed After $1 Million High-Grade Weed Found in Hudson Valley
Two men are behind bars after police allegedly seized over $1 million worth of high-grade marijuana in the Hudson Valley.
On Friday during a traffic stop on Route 208 in the Town of Montgomery, police say a trooper noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from a 2018 rental car.
A search of the car led to authorities finding a large wooden container in the bed of the pickup truck which contained over 204 pounds of high-grade individually packaged marijuana, police say.
The marijuana has a street value of over $1 million, according to New York State Police.
Danny A. Aguayo, 35, of Stamford, C.T. and 69-year-old Anthony Donofrio of New Rochelle were both charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a felony. Both were remanded to the Orange County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
