Police say a woman who was involved in a two-car accident in the Hudson Valley was in possession of a number of drugs.

Tuesday, New York State Police from Hawthorne arrested 22-year-old Oriana K. Defeo-Peterson, of Harrison, New Jersey, for criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Authorities say Defeo-Peterson was involved in a two-car crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of Mount Pleasant. During the crash investigation, Defeo-Peterson was allegedly found to be in possession of a cocaine and marijuana.

Defeo-Peterson was arraigned in the Town of Mount Pleasant Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail with bail set at $3,000.
