But what's the very best in Upstate New York? Hudson Valley Post researched restaurants that are critically acclaimed, locally beloved, rated high on crowdsourced sites like Yelp, Google Reviews, and Tripadvisor, and much more to highlight 30 of the best eateries in Upstate New York.

Note: Gov. Kathy Hochul recently said Upstate New York is anything north of Westchester County. While I don't personally agree with that, to craft this list, we went with the governor's verdict.
