Police are continuing to search for answers and want the public’s help following a shooting in Newburgh. Police are reporting one man was as hit.

Saturday around 2:45 a.m., City of Newburgh Police responded to 40 Hasbrouck Street for reports shots fired.

Upon arrival, authorities found a 27-year-old Newburgh man with a single gunshot wound to his back. The victim was taken to St. Lukes Hospital. His condition at this time is unknown. Police are not releasing the victim’s name.
