A routine traffic stop in Dutchess County led to two arrests after police allegedly found heroin, prescription drugs, MDMA and more in their car.

On Tuesday around 10:45 p.m., East Fishkill police stopped a car on Route 82 in Hopewell Junction. The driver was identified as Mikal Anderson, 40, of Pleasant Valley.

During the traffic stop, police allege that the driver and his passengers were in possession of heroin, oxycodone, valium, molly and marijuana.

The driver, 40-year-old Mikal Anderson of Pleasant Valley was charged with four-counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

The passenger in the car, Nicole Creighton, 30, of Pougkeepsie, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Anderson was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000. Bond. Creighton was released on her own recognizance. Both are due in East Fishkill court at a later date.
