The largest indoor theme park in the Western Hemisphere is scheduled to open soon just a stone's throw away from the Hudson Valley.

A Nickelodeon Universe will be featured at the American Dream mall at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Nickelodeon theme park should feature 27 rides, including four roller coasters, according to WPST.

A press release from American Dream says the theme park will open in 2019 while NJ.Com reports the Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream should open in spring 2019.

At 8.5 acres the theme park will be the biggest indoor theme park in America when it opens.

The Nickelodeon theme park will be open 365 days a year and will feature rides and attractions based on Nickelodeon’s iconic properties including SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and new hits like Blaze and the Monster Machines, according to a press release.

Two of the roller coasters will be record-breaking, according to a press release from American Dream. The coasters are being developed by Gerstlauer.

“We have worked on many projects, but this will be unlike anything we have ever designed. Visitors to Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream are in for a great ride,” Managing Director of Gerstlauer Amusement Ride Siegfried Gerstlauer said.

The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Shellraise' will set a record for the steepest roller coaster while a 'The Shredder' will hold titles for the world’s tallest and longest free spinning roller, NJ.com reports.
