
New York Man Killed On Taconic in Hudson Valley
A New York City man was killed in a crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley.

On Monday, New York State Police from the Stormville barracks began investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Putnam Valley.
At approximately 9:34 a.m., Troopers were dispatched to the area of mile marker 30.7 southbound on the Taconic State Parkway just south of Exit 31A for a report of a car off the roadway.

The investigation found the 1995 Toyota Tacoma, operated by 55-year-old Douglas W. Day of New York left the Taconic State Parkway for an unknown reason while traveling south and struck a tree.
Unfortunately, Douglas Day succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Putnam County Coroner’s Office, police say.
The cause of the fatal crash is ongoing.
