Large Drug Bust in Dutchess County

An alleged Dutchess County drug dealer is accused of possessing a large amount of cocaine and crack-cocaine.

Recently, New York State Police stopped a 2008 Nissan Altima traveling on Route 55 in the town of Lagrange for an alleged driving violation.

An investigation found that the driver was in possession of around 20.8 grams of cocaine, 16.8 grams of crack-cocaine and a small amount of Hydrocodone, police say.

Joseph M. Rogers Jr., 34, of Pleasant Valley was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, misdemeanors.

Rogers was arraigned in the town of Lagrange Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
